solstice '17

I’m here beside the buttercups as happy as can be, every single one looks like it’s smiling at me. I’m here in the tall grass so effervescent green feeling so grateful to be amid this solstice scene. I’m here with salmon berries flourishing in red, they sway with the breeze and bounce above my head. I’m here beneath the cedar reaching t’ward the sky it reminds me to look up and remember I can fly. I’m here beside the ocean crashing at my feet, its surface shifts and shimmers, rolling rhythmically. I’m here below the eagle soaring straight and true, an arrow silhouette against a backdrop of blue. I’m here among the sun rays that funnel from the clouds, streaks of glowing warmth that illuminate the ground. I’m here with sleeping beauty who’s lost her dress of white, laying stoically ahead reaching high with might. I’m here at the gallery with Merlin, Ferg, & Steph, I have never been so present, I’ve finally caught my breath.
